FALL MARKET!! SEPT 22-23

Wow am I exhausted and in need of a manicure and a massage.  I've been a busy bee and am ready for a break, however not for another 2 weeks.  The market is at All through the house in Okotoks on Saturday September 22 and 23rd from 10-5 pm.  Until then any new projects will be a surprise and you'll have to come check them out yourself.

Also I've had some people show interest in peices and just wanted to let you know that all my peices will be going in the market next friday so if you have something you'd like you've gotta let me know before then or else it'll be going in and will hopefully sell.

I'm excited and nervous and I really hope that all my hard work pays off!  It's been a fun and exciting process and I love seeing the transformations in furniture.  However, I just don't have the space to keep all these beauties. Hope to see you there!!!

Pedestal Kitchen Table

This kitchen table is pretty common and is quite outdated in color but is actually quite beautiful and has tons of potential.  I'm quite proud of this one.

Weekend projects!!!

Busy busy busy!  Weekends just aren't long enough.  Here are a few projects I worked on this weekend.  I'm getting ready for an upcoming market end of september here in Okotoks.  Not sure how much space I'll have yet but it'll be at All through the house on Elizabeth street sept. 22nd.  Super excited, but running out of time!  I've also added a collection of treasures that I've bought for staging purposes but these items will also be for sale! Please check the furniture/art for sale sections for available items.  Portolio includes items that are already sold, sorry!  And sneak peeks are items that I've bought that I'm working on. ENJOY!

Chippy furniture

This is a style that you either love or just don't get.  My dad for example thought some of my peices still needed to be stripped and painted or fixed.  I just laughed and said Dad that's the way they're supposed to be haha!  I love items that are antiqued, sanded, bumped, banged and chipped.  Items like this have the character that I love...the shabby chic style, the rustic look and the chippy furniture are my favorites and it seems as I start my business that this is the way most of my furniture is leaning.

Kids chairs have so much charm!

I found this adorable little kids chair out garage saling a few weeks ago...apparently there was a matching table but someone had already taken it.  Such a unique little peice...cute in purple however just too many layers of paint and not a whole lot of character.  I took it home and was so excited I started to sand instantly.  All those layers of paint took forever, and of course with all the little groves and spindle legs most of it had to be done by hand.  I thought of stripping it completely but I ended up leaving little bits of paint underneath that would show through and add some texture.

Spruced this one up!!!

So many people said they would have never thought to buy this desk but love the finished product!  Super solid with no watermarks, cracks or damage and an outdated color make the perfect peice.  Spindle legs however are just brutal to sand.  Luckily my boyfriend is great with the belt sander and helps me with the large straight peices.  It's quite a powerful tool.

Annie Sloan Antiqued side table. SOLD!!!

Adorable rustic style chairs! For sale

Picked up these two little chairs and was so happy to have found a pair.  These chairs could be treated as small accent chairs in any place in your home, paired with a small table or even used outdoors.  They have been painted with a mix of colors which give it texture and character.  There's hints of blue, grey, black, brown wax and a little yellow accent.  The seats were recovered in a gorgeous green indoor/outdoor fabric which is very durable and matches just perfect.

Yellow piped twin bed and lil chair! SOLD!

I loved this little twin bed the minute I saw it.  It reminds me of a kids sleigh bed but with additional details like the piping.  These pics aren't of the finished product as I did the piping detail in cream.  I'll have to post an updated pic of the finished product soon.  This peice sold to a great friend of mine who repainted her entire room to match this baby.  Absolutely adorable...fell in love with the fabric as well!
So I'm totally new to this blog world, but I love searching blogs for creative ideas and all works of art so I've started my own.  I've got a little side business that I'm in love with.  I've always enjoyed being creative whether it be painting, drawing, scrapbooking, redecorating, thrifting and refinishing furniture.  So I've decided to show case my items for sale here!  As much as I'd love to keep these items, I've unfortunately run out of space in my own home for furniture and art so I'd love to help you all decorate your homes with items I love.  Feel free to browse, buy, comment and share in my new journey.  ENJOY!!
